HydraTune was founded by Perth-based Indigenous entrepreneur Shane Lewis, a proud Banjima man with over 18 years of industrial maintenance experience in the mining sector.

HydraTune is a pioneering technology company dedicated to revolutionising hydraulic maintenance practices across a broad range of industries.
Founded in 2018 by Perth-based Indigenous entrepreneur Shane Lewis, HydraTune dramatically reduces the risks associated with live hydraulic maintenance while enhancing efficiency and productivity.
Shane Lewis, a Banjima man with 18+ years of industrial maintenance experience, began his entrepreneurial journey after a career in WA’s mining sector. Fuelled by his first-hand experiences as a diesel mechanic, he now develops innovative solutions that have the potential to redefine hydraulic maintenance standards.
HydraTune’s wireless-digital hydraulic tuning system, SafeAdjust, represents a paradigm shift in maintenance technology; allowing technicians to adjust remotely and safely (from up to 100 metres away), and with a degree of accuracy that far surpasses the current ‘manual’ method.
Koodaideri Innovation and Technology (KIT), the parent company of HydraTune, was established in 2018 with a mission to create solutions that eliminate high-risk maintenance practices, through the Elimination of Live Work (ELW).

Innovation Takes Shape
After two years of research, HydraTune launched its SafeAdjust system — the first wireless-digital hydraulic tuning solution.
2021
Industry Recognition
SafeAdjust quickly gained traction in the Australian mining industry, earning the backing of major OEMs Epiroc and CAT, solidifying its place as a game-changer in hydraulic maintenance.
2024
A Landmark Partnership
HydraTune reached a major milestone by partnering with Northern Star Resources, one of the world’s leading gold producers, to trial SafeAdjust at the KCGM mine in Western Australia.

Breakthrough Innovation: FlexAdjust
Building on this success, Shane Lewis introduced FlexAdjust – a revolutionary, flexible adapter designed to reach even the most inaccessible hydraulic tuning points on heavy mobile plants, further cementing HydraTune’s role as an industry leader in innovation.
